Hey David, nice results !!

Job Job :)

Yes for the price of the H60 and what it does its a pretty good cooler.

For just testing I use CPUID HW Monitor. For my main rig and daily use I use AID64 Extreme. I can have a desktop gadget that can be configured to show all kinds of data.

Nice work there and I am happy that this guide was helpful to you :)

Hi Buckeye. I installed the H60. What a difference it makes. I chose to have the fan pulling air from inside the case since I have 4 fans blowing cold air from the side cover into and on the MB. Below are my tests results.

First set of numbers is with the system completely stock, no side panel fans and stock Intel CPU fan. Both results are with the CPU OC'd running at 4.3203 according to CPUz. I did not turn off turbo in the bios, actual CPU speed is 4.16 GHz w/o turbo on. I ran the long version of prime.

Ambient temp: 25.9 C
CPU Core temps from CPUID HW monitor:
0: 93 C
1: 92 C
2: 87 C
8: 86 C
9: 94 C
10: 94 C
Board temps:
Sys 0: 41
Sys 1: 106
Sys 2: 108
Sys 3: 55

Here are the results after installing the 4 side panel fans and the H60 water cooler.
I also checked temps with Easytune 6 for these tests.

Ambient temp: 24.9 C

CPUID Easytune 6
CPU Core CPU Temp
0: 73 C 63 C
1: 73 C
2. 70 C
8. 67 C
9. 74 C
10. 70 C

BRD Temps BRD Temps ET6
0: 34 C 34 C
1: 63 C 54 C
2. 69 C 69 C
3. 55 C 37 C

As you can see the 4 side panel fans and the H60 made a huge difference. As much as 24 C on CPU Core 10.

I am wondering which software is more accurate ET6 or CPUID HW monitor. what are your thoughts Buckeye?
Thanks

Hey good to hear those extra fans are making a dif.
The H60 will be much more of a dif.

I usually install the fans on the H50-H70 coolers pulling air from outside the case into it. That way you get the best cool air into the rad on the H60. You could also add an extra fan for the H60 in push pull config.

Those coolers come with a resistor pack that you can use to adjust the fan speeds. Try it with each one and watch the dif in temps.

Hey Buckeye. I wanted to give you some info on where I am so far. I got the new side panel and put 4 140 mm fans on it. Then tested the board again bottom to top per your guide. At stock speeds I'm seeing a 10 - 12 degree lower temp for all CPU cores and all temp points on the MB. At level 3 OC the CPU is 5 C cooler and the MB is 3-5 C cooler. When I started testing the ambient temperature was 24.6 C and the final ambient was 27 C Opening the side panel and using additional fans appears to have worked nicely.

That was the first step. Next is to install and retest with the Corsair H60. Hopefully this weekend.

Hey there. They are not released yet, but very soon.
Sample boards have been sent out so we should start seeing user reviews here soon.

No suggestions so far, you are on the right track :)
The H60 cooler wil be a huge dif in temps you see on the CPU vs the Stock Intel cooler.

As far as the other temp sensors I just don't know. I have not used a Sinper so I cannot give you any advice on that.
